West Indies and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots batsman Jonathan Carter has spoken exclusively to www.cplt20.com about his hopes for this year’s HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and what makes the biggest party in sport such a special tournament.
Barbados-born Carter, 28, has played 20 CPL matches to date for the Tridents but will be aiming to make an impression for the Patriots. He discusses his CPL experiences, his hopes about playing alongside players of the calibre of Faf du Plessis and Lendl Simmons, why playing CPL matches in Central Broward Stadium in Fort Lauderdale is a positive move and how it will be a proud moment for the Carter family both in Barbados and the USA.
Carter also talks about the CPL’s role in developing West Indies U19 talent and the player he is most excited about watching in this year’s CPL, South African superstar AB de Villiers.
