Mohammad Amir, regarded as one of the most exciting left-arm pacers in the world retired from all forms of International cricket in December 2020. He is one of the best new-ball bowlers in world cricket across formats. His opening spell of 3/16 against India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 won Pakistan their only ICC title last decade. He has taken the 2nd most wickets among pacers for Pakistan in T20 Internationals.
Amir, aged 29, has already a wealth of experience in T20s having taken 220 wickets in 190 T20s. Because of his dual value with the ball in Powerplay and at the death, Amir has been sought after in majority of the T20 leagues such as PSL, BPL, T20 Blast and Lanka Premier League. Barbados Tridents signed Amir at the CPL 2021 draft and this will be the first time he will be a part of CPL.
