He is a legspinner who bats in the middle-order and has represented Jamaica at the Under-15 and U-19 levels. He made his List A debut for West Indies U-19s in the 2007-08 KFC Cup and is a fan of Shane Warne. Bonner is interested in becoming an engineer if he doesn't become a professional cricketer.
In August, 2011 he received his maiden call-up to the senior Twenty20 squad to play against England in September. Bonner can hit the ball a long way and he would be a great asset, both in the team and depth for whichever franchise he ends up playing for. In Twenty20 cricket, he has a High Score of 82.
