Shamar Springer was a member of the Windies Team which won the 2016 Under-19 World Cup. The Chest Roll celebration that was once famous for the Windies team which won the 2012 World T20 Champions, was now used by Shamar Springer in 2016 at the Under-19 World Cup.
Playing as an all-rounder in the team, Springer bowled seam-up and batted in the middle. He scored two fifties and hundred, ending the tournament as the highest run scorer for the Windies and the fifth highest overall. More than the hundred against Fiji, his 62 off 88 balls against Bangladesh in the Semi-final of the tournament proved that he is more than a pinch-hitter.
In the CPL, Springer has played 10 matches for the Barbados Tridents over three seasons. He will be making his debut for Tallawahs in 2019.
