CPL seeking talent to add extra spice to the Biggest Party in Sport

CPL is seeking the most glamorous and talented young women in the Caribbean as the search is on to recruit teams of cheerleaders in five of the CPL host – Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and St. Lucia – for the 2014 Limacol Caribbean Premier League.
The Biggest Party in Sport is not only represented through the world-class cricketers that participate in the game, but also in the beautiful and charismatic Caribbean cheerleaders that entertain the millions of fans.
Cheerleaders will be selected locally from five of the host islands, where a specialist selection panel will be looking out for characteristics such as style, confidence and a warm, positive personality. Applicants will need to submit a set of photos and videos that showcase their style, flair, dancing ability and desire to earn a prestigious place on the CPL Cheerleading Team.
A three person judging panel, including a modeling agent, choreographer and CPL representative, will select a shortlist of 20 girls to participate in a three-day boot camp with the Fana talent agency. During the three days, those taking part will develop their camaraderie, whilst learning skills that make great cheerleaders such as dance routines, hair and make up, attitude, presentation and fitness training.
Following the boot camp, 12 girls will be selected to form this year’s CPL Cheerleading Team. They will embody the flair and energy of the tournament and be responsible for bringing the Biggest Party in Sport to life beyond the boundary ropes.
The tournament returns in July and August 2014 when Jamaica Tallawahs will defend their title against the Antigua Hawksbills, Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors St. Lucia Zouks, Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel.

About the Caribbean Premier League:

Caribbean Premier League is a franchise-based T20 format cricket tournament that combines two of the most compelling aspects of Caribbean life – dramatic cricket and a vibrant Carnival atmosphere.  The inaugural CPL, billed as “the Biggest Party in Sport”, featured six teams competing throughout the region in August 2013 – Jamaica Tallawahs, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St. Lucia Zouks, and Antigua Hawksbills.  The Jamaica Tallawahs, captained by Chris Gayle, emerged as champions.
