Chris Gayle is the talk of the cricket - and sporting - world after his record-breaking run spree for the West Indies against Zimbabwe, smashing a World Cup record 215 from 147 balls.

But how are the other Caribbean Premier League stars faring in Australia and New Zealand? Let's find out...

BARBADOS TRIDENTS

West Indies captain Jason Holder has performed well so far Down Under, taking 1-23 in 7 overs against Pakistan and 3-48 from 7 against Zimbabwe, leading the Windies to two impressive victories in the process. Dwayne Smith has fared less well, scoring 23 (off 27 balls) against Pakistan and then falling for a second-ball duck v Zimbabwe. Jonathan Carter was included against the Zimbabweans, but didn't bat.

GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS

Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin both struck fifties in the Windies win over Pakistan, with Simmons' 50 coming off 46 balls and Ramdin's 51 from 43 balls. Unsurprisingly, neither was required to bat against Zimbabwe! The Warriors' Sri Lanka stars enjoyed mixed fortunes against Afghanistan, Lasith Malinga taking 3-41 from 9.4 overs and Thisara Perera 1-54 from 10 before going on to score 47 not out from only 26 balls. Tillakaratne Dilshan, meanwhile, made a golden duck.

JAMAICA TALLAWAHS

Gayle, Gayle, Gayle. If you want to find out more about Chris Gayle's staggering knock (and 2-35!) against Zimbabwe, read our report by clicking on this link. That was after he'd scored only 4 from 14 balls against Pakistan, too. Andre Russell hit a brutal 42 off only 13 balls and then took 3-33 as he was named man of the match against Pakistan, going on to take 0-44 from 5 against Zimbabwe. Jerome Taylor bowled superbly in both matches, taking 3-15 from 7 against Pakistan and 3-38 from 10 against Zimbabwe, while Nikita Miller finished up with figures of 1-48 from 6.3 overs in the latter contest.

Sri Lanka's veteran batsman Mahela Jayawardene came to the World Cup party in style as he smashed 100 from 120 balls in their win over Afghanistan and New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori took 3-24 from 8.2 overs as they rolled Scotland out cheaply and then 1-19 from 7 overs as they easily swept aside England, too.

ST KITTS & NEVIS PATRIOTS

Marlon Samuels led the way for new boys St Kitts, the West Indies batsman providing invaluable support to Gayle during his monstrous knock by hitting a fabulous unbeaten 133 from 156 balls before taking 1-59 from 9 overs, and all that after he hit 38 from 52 balls against Pakistan. In the same match, Shahid Afridi took 0-48 from 10 overs and was out for 28 from 26 balls, while New Zealand's Martin Guptill scored 17 from 14 against Scotland and a run-a-ball 22 against England.

ST LUCIA ZOUKS

A quiet week for the Zouks stars, with Darren Sammy scoring 30 off 28 balls and taking 1-47 from 8 overs against Pakistan, before only bowling one over for 8 in the hammering of Zimbabwe. Ross Taylor scored 9 as New Zealand beat Scotland and was 5 not out against England, while Shakib Al Hasan's Bangladesh saw their game against co-hosts Australia abandoned without a ball being bowled.

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO RED STEEL

Darren Bravo struck a fine 49 from 74 balls in West Indies' win over Pakistan, missing the game against Zimbabwe due to an injured hamstring, while Sulieman Benn took 2-39 from 9 overs against Pakistan before sitting out the Zimbabwe clash.
