The Hero Caribbean Premier League have released the third episode of their Life Stories series. This episode features Jamaican all-rounder Rovman Powell and his early life growing up in Old Harbour.
Rovman grew up in a single parent family where they struggled to get by with his mother often working three jobs to be able to make ends meet. We meet the teachers and coaches who first identified that Rovman had the talent to make it as a cricketer and how the sport has changed his life and his family’s.
This is the third film in the CPL’s Life Stories series. The other two films feature Oshane Thomas and Keemo Paul. All three of these films are available to watch on the CPL’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Paul Pritchett-Brown, CPL’s Head of Production, said: “It is always such a pleasure to be spend time with someone’s family when working on these projects and it was so great to get know Rovman and his mum and sister. Their story is an inspirational one and one that we are sure people will enjoy watching.”
