Sheldon Cottrell is one of Windies’ most spirited players. A tall fast bowler capable of bowling lethal bouncers and a gun fielder, Sheldon Cottrell carries an unmistakable presence in the field. Cottrell picked up 11 wickets in nine matches in CPL 2018, at an average of 25.4.
At the World Cup, he effected three run outs and bagged eight catches, apart from being the top wicket-taker for the Windies (12 wickets). His one-handed running catch of Steve Smith at the boundary was one of the most memorable moments of the World Cup.
His recent performances at the World Cup, coupled with his trademark celebration, the ‘Cottrell Salute’, makes him one of the players to watch out for this season.
